Training covered machine shop safety, fundamental machining operations, and hands-on practice on conventional lathe and mill, measuring, and sheet metal work.

Projects included a sheet-metal phone stand, a metal hammer with lathe-turned base and milled head, and a 1″ cube machined to within two thousandths of an inch.
